Always on the move...

The child never sits these days! Not only can he climb the stairs, he has perfected this skill. He can get up the first flight in 15 seconds. I let him get out of my sight for 30 seconds and find him sitting on the landing flashing a big, cheesy grin. He was soooo, proud of himself. Me, I was beating myself up, once again. Get a stinkin' gate for crying out loud! I know, I said was was "getting one tomorrow" last week. Stuff just keeps coming up. Meanwhile, Crosby is becoming more mobile and the need for the gate has tripled. Maybe we can go get one or 3 tonight...

For now, here is a sideways video of the little man in action! I rotated the video on my camera and thought I had it figured out! It appears I do not. Feel free to share if you know how to rotate videos from the Canon PowerShot...

I just love all of the sounds he makes! He is working so hard to make the climb! And I love how his right leg is lost somewhere in his britches!! That happens all the time...

You might be seeing a lot more videos in the near future. Or blurry pictures of my moving target! Yea, shutter speed is important these days. A digital SLR is pretty much a must have. Why don't we just throw our digital SLR on the garage floor and see what happens to the shutter speed then? That sounds like a lovely idea...

Good job, Crosby! I love how he looks back at you when he is almost to the top saying, "come on, mom, get my foot out of my pants so I can go a little faster!" You could try calling Kid to Kid in CoolSprings and see if they have a used gate (we got one of ours from there). We have a pressured mounted gate at the bottom of our stairs, which is nice that you don't have to put holes in your walls. We have a mounted one at the top...makes me feel a little safer. Both work great!!

With my Canon I always edited the videos in Windows Movie Maker and there is a rotate option. Also, it condenses the file so that it takes half the time to download. Now, my new Sony records in MP4 and high def for some reason, and moviemaker doesnt play nice with that, so I dont know what I am going to do now. He's getting so big!

Good News!!! With your steps configured like they are, it doesn't look like Crosby would have far to tumble on the carpeted steps if he did happen to escape....just show him how to come down backwards the same way he goes up. Of course when he starts walking, then you'll be afraid that he'll fall. Casey and Kelly would still drop to their knees and fly down backwards even when they learned to walk. It was faster and more fun!!!!
Love, Ginny

So, what's the word on your camera? Sorry, I should comment on Crosby first, right? He did great! Way to go, Little Man! But, really, how is the camera???
