Mondays with Crosby and Jane Claire

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 3 years and 25 weeks old!!!  At 1:03 pm, Jane Claire turned 12 weeks old!!!  TWELVE WEEKS!  My baby will be 3 whole months old this time next week.  I can't stand it.  Not to mention my big baby will celebrate his half birthday on the 29th.  I know my weekly rant over the ridiculous pace at which life is moving probably gets annoying.  But as I write each weeks stats, I am reminded all over again.  Maybe keeping up with a blog is unhealthy! ;-)

I try to take a picture of both kiddos to put first every week.  But out of the 100+ pictures I took, none were only of the 2 of them!  Then I decided she should get to have her picture up there every now and then since Crosby got 3+ years to himself!  It is only fair, right?!  Technically, I am in the above picture too... ;-)

We spent the majority of this week in someone else's pool.  Fear not.  We have known the pool owner every single time.  I wouldn't just show up at someone's pool unannounced or uninvited.  Or maybe I would.  If the gate isn't locked I consider it fair game.  Anyway, our playgroup met at the Ivey casa for a swim.  Would you just look at these kiddos (minus Mason, who came right after the picture was taken!)...

A few of the babes: Brooke, Finn and Milly...
My babe was able to snooze a bit while the big kids swam...
The Ivey's pool is so lovely for little ones.  Who am I kidding?!?!  It is lovely for their mommas as well!!!  But that is not what I am talking about.  I am referring to the beach entry with gradual drop offs before the water is over little one's heads.  A large rock water feature that little ones like Lucas and Crosby just LOVE to jump off of...
Zero fear, this boy of mine!!
Leaping Lucas...
And then the sweet little girlies decided to climb up on top of the rock.  Charlotte, who absolutely does not like water to get anywhere near her eyes, decided she wanted to jump off the rock.  I promise I tried explaining that she would indeed get water in her eyes but she insisted.  I don't think she quite got it because she did it...
The girl reached up for Kara's hand in assistance as she lept!
She was quite shocked when she went under and water got in her eyes.  But, she survived it and was swimming again a few days later!  I love how Crosby is sitting in the cave under the "cliff"!  So fun!

We went swimming the next day too!  We stopped by to see 3/4's of the Rick clan.  She had a little something for us but more on that later!  Margaret and Wells had just finished their swim lessons so we had wet headed kiddos!  I was excited to let Melissa see Jane Claire in this strawberry getup that Miss Moo wore when she was a tiny thing...
Is she not adorable?!?  I know the answer. Yes!! ;-) We had to put these two up on the swing like we did when they were little.  And how perfect that they even coordinate.  They were just screaming for a photo op...
Sweet sugars...
Belly laughs...
Cutie patooties...
Mr. Wells needed in on the fun!
As if swimming doesn't wear you out enough, we stopped by and played with John Christopher afterwards (no pics :( ).  Crosby was exhausted.  I told him he could lay on the couch for "a little rest".  Long naps late in the day come back to haunt us at bed time.  I was doing something with Sister Sue and turned around to this...
I love it!!!  Crosby has always taken naps, at nap time, in his bed.  Therefore, he has never been one to fall asleep in random places.  I have always envied that pics on Facebook of friends kids sleeping in awkward positions in those random places.  Now I have 2!!  And no "bubba" judgements.  He loves that blasted thing. And sleeps might fine with it in place...
While he was out, I snapped a few pictures of Jane Claire, who was in the best of moods...
Hiding behind the blanket...
Look at those lashes curling up so pretty...
"Bubbles", a name Crosby tells everyone we call her!  She does have spit bubbles coming out of her mouth 90% of the time!
Sweet baby doll...
Ah yes!  The things Melissa had for us... Tickets to see Sesame Street Live!!
On Saturday, we joined the Ricks and 2/5 of the Wootten crew at the arena to see Sesame Street Live.  Melissa's dad was so gracious to share tickets with us!  The kiddos were great for the first half of the show.  Then intermission hit and they got out of their seats.  They weren't too excited to return to their seats once the show started back up.  Mrs. Joanna caved and got these twirling Elmo light up thingys that bought us a little more time...
They made for neat pictures anyway...
Pretty lights, huh?!?
Melissa with Sweet Margaret...
Joanna and John Christopher...
Me with Crosby (being grumpy!!) and Jane Claire.  Blake had to work so he had to miss the show :(...

After Sesame Street Live, we hoped in the car and headed to Columbia.  We didn't get to celebrate Father's Day with the Malone crew last weekend.  So, we did it this weekend!  It was nice and warm outside which meant the kiddos were ready to swim!  And when I say "swim," I mean "swim"! Crosby can actually get from one side of the pool to the other without wearing his puddle jumper!!!  It is quite impressive.  He prefers to swim without the puddle jumper now. I will admit, it makes me a nervous wreck.  Even if there are 6 adults supervising him!  He goes NONSTOP and totally wears himself out.  I am so proud of my little fish.  I will have to catch him on video ASAP!

Melt my heart look at this doll baby...
Seriously, she is just precious in her whale swimsuit. I mean precious. She sat with GranBuddy, taking it all in...
Malone had a baby pool all to himself!
My boys, hanging out in the big pool...
And because the little darling is so cute, I have to share another one of her.  It seriously doesn't get any cuter...
Blake took Jane Claire swimming for the first time...
I think she liked it!!!
Oh my goodness...
Anne Claire with Malone.  He is totally waving at the camera!!!
Jeremy and his babes...
Blake and his babes...
GranBuddy and the GranBabes...
We really wanted to get a picture of the super adorable GranBabes in their super adorable matching outfits made by you know who!!  I think this one is pretty presh...
So is this one...
Love these two boys!
Jane Claire at 12 weeks...
Tonight, we had a sweet family over for dinner.  The Droemers were so good to us when I was on bed rest.  Since Crosby and Isabella (aka "Misabella" to Crosby :) ) were in the same class, Lexi volunteered to take Crosby to and from school on Monday and Friday.  Here is a picture of "Misabella", Lexi and Crosby...
Crosby LOVES these two ladies soooooo much. And Mr. Lee!! But he and Blake were cleaning out their fridge/freezer when I took these pictures!!
It was an emotional night.  Tomorrow morning, the Droemers will be moving to Tulsa.  Watching them drive away tonight reminded me, yet again, how quickly life passes us by.  It seems like yesterday Lexi called, insisting on taking Crosby to and from school.  I was so hesitant because I felt it would be such a burden.  She never made it seem that way.  She did so much more that take him to and from school.  She called asking if she could take him shopping at Publix after school on Mondays because it was "easier" to shop with both of them as opposed to just Isabella.  Then on Friday afternoons, she took the kiddos to McDonalds for milkshakes.  Isabella and Crosby always split a strawberry shake with 2 cherries on top.  The kiddos would end up at their house or ours playing until 5 or so.  She typically had him 2 hours after school ended.  Above and beyond.  She said it was easy to help us out because she loved our sweet boy. She had never met a little boy like him.  He really is that easy to love.  A special friendship was formed thanks to my time on the couch.  And now the little love that put me on that couch is almost 3 months old.  And it is the end of June.  I thought we had plenty of time to enjoy spending with our families before the end of June.  But here it is.  Time to say farewell for now.   I wish we had gotten to know them sooner.  I wish we could have spent a little more time together as families.  I wish I had soaked up the screams and giggles these kiddos would make when they chased each other all over the house.  Life is so quick.  I purposefully try to enjoy each and every second of it.  But then I get busy and forget to stop and enjoy the moments that matter.  Friends move away.  Time moves on...

My babies will never be this small again.  Lord, help me to hold them close and soak them in while I can. Oh how I love them so...

Mondays with Crosby and Jane Claire

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 3 years and 24 weeks old!!!  At 1:03 pm, Jane Claire turned 11 weeks old!!!  What a busy, summer week this has been.  Kind of a whirlwind, actually!  And to think I was worried that we wouldn't have anything to do this summer!  What was I thinking?

We started with swimming lessons on Tuesday morning at 9:30.  It is hard to believe now, but the weather was overcast that morning and the water was really cold!  Crosby didn't care one bit.  He jumped right in with no problem...
He sat up on the step just like he did this time last year...
And went right to Mrs. Becca when it was his turn...
Even when that meant spending time UNDER water!!!
Kicking his legs...
"Cutting pizza" with his arms...
We went Tuesday through Friday from 9:30-10:15.  By the end of the week, he was swimming under water from one person to another!
Look at my little fish go!!!
At the end of the day on Friday, they turned the water on the slide and let the kiddos go down a few times.  Crosby was a HUGE fan...
Crosby and Zack headed down...
down...
SPLASH!
My little clown fish holding up his graduation certificate!  So proud of my little man!
Sweet sister and I just hung out in the pool house.
She had a good ole time! ;-)
On Thursday, we took Blake to the airport.  He had a conference in Las Vegas (sure..."conference" ;-) ).  Crosby, Jane Claire and I stayed here because I had a wedding to attend on Friday night.  One of my friends from OT school was marrying a guy that went to Centre College while Blake was there.  Small world!  Somehow, in a school of 1000 students, Blake and Mickey didn't know each other!?!? So funny.  Anywho, we dropped Blake off to catch his flight and that left me flying solo Thursday night.  All I can say about that is I am so thankful to have a husband that is so hands on with our kiddos.  Thursday night was exhausting but we survived.  The next morning, I loaded us up, headed to swim lessons and afterwards, met Gee Gee in Brentwood to drop off Crosby with her.  Once the switch was made, Jane Claire and I started to make our way to Louisville, KY.  Little Miss screamed her head off until we got to the Kentucky line.  I am pretty sure I pulled over 4 times attempting to get her to keep the pacifier in her mouth.  No such luck.  Apparently, she is not a fan of the car seat and the car!!  Yikes...

Me and Jane Claire with the BEAUTIFUL bride, Elizabeth...
Me and Jane Claire with the Sorgs...
Jane Claire was great during the wedding.  She just sat up looking around at everyone, soaking in her very first wedding.  I am sure she was taking notes!  Heaven help me...

We stayed with another friend from OT school, Kellie.  I could kick myself for only taking one, not so great picture of our kiddos.  None of the two of us!  And none of her girls without intense bed head!!!

Ella and Kate with Jane Claire...
Jane Claire and I spent the day hanging out with Kellie and her family.  I headed out of town that evening and met up with Rocky and Amy Oliver, friends from Auburn.  I had just learned that they are expecting TWINS so it was exciting to see them.  Of course they were thrilled to meet Jane Claire too!  After dinner with the Olivers, Jane Claire and I made our way back to Nashville.  Of course, she screamed for the first 30 minutes of the trip, crushing my heart into a million pieces again.  Seriously brutal for this momma.  We made it back home around 11:15 Saturday night!  What a quick but fun trip.  It was great to catch up with so many dear friends.

Sunday was Father's Day!  Jane Claire and I met my family at Jim and Nicks to celebrate with my dad...
Harper, Crosby and Jane Claire.  I just love how he is loving on Harper...
Crosby looking so proud of his girls!
Dad with his kids and grandkids.  I think he likes us! :-)
My crew jumped in the car and headed back to the airport to pick up Blake.  We had a little surprise for him...
We got a really big smile out of him when he saw the signs we made!  We were so happy to have him back home with us on Father's Day!
Jane Claire at 11 weeks (blowing bubbles as always!!)...
 My two babies...
 They are just precious...
 Even when they are done!
Later this afternoon, we headed to the Droemers for a little sprinkler fun...

Sweet friends, Crosby and Isabella, aka "Misabella"
I can't believe the Droemers move to Tulsa in 1 week!!!!  What will Crosby do without his buddy?  Can't even think about it...
Jane Claire just slept right through the sprinkler fun!
Of course Crosby managed to find the mud!
And he introduced the puddle to Isabella!!
Boy do I love these silly friends!
