Always

I don't need a special day to think of our girls. It happens naturally, everyday. I think of them as I walk past their shadow boxes. I think of them when I see little girls around the ages they would have been. I think of them when I hear certain songs. I think of them when I learn of others who have lost. I think of them when I hold their little brother in my arms. I think of them for no apparent reason at all. They will forever be a part of my life. Everyday. Always. I am very grateful for a day that recognizes all of the little ones who have been lost to miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant loss.

On this day, I join other families around the world in lighting candles of remembrance. One for Finley Grace and another for her sister, Caroline Grace. Because this day is near and dear to my heart, there are additional candles to honor of the children of my dear friends who have suffered loss. There are so many... I will be in prayer for each of these familes today. Maybe you know someone who has lost a child or you have lost a child yourself. Feel free to honor them in a comment below if you would like. Or maybe just light a candle too...

Danielle,

I love you and your family....all 5 of you. I will continue praying for you all, as I know you do think about your precious girls all the time. May you feel God's comfort each day....

I love that you have lit a candle not only for your precious girls, but for the babies your friends have lost...thinking of my little one lost to us a year and a half ago, and my precious 4 little ones with me here...thanks for the reminder...

Thank you for remembering our precious little James Walter. He taught us so much about life and love. I know that he is safe in the arms of our Lord, and we will meet again one day.
I am thinking of you and your sweet girls. . .

Chelsea just added a new post to her blog and she mentions this remembrance day. I left a comment to her about you and included your blog address so you guys could "meet" when she is ready. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Thank you so much for your beautiful heart and the way you extend it to others who are walking this path with you. You are a gift to so many!!

BTW.. we are coming up on our 1 year anniversary since we officially met. Let's celebrate over Snickers bars somewhere (besides Baptist Hospital this time!). Let me know when you and Crosby are free!!
