Christmas with the Lipscombs

The Lipscomb family gathering occurred before Christmas this year.  We headed down to Columbia on the night of the 23rd.  We all brought a side dish and mom prepared the meat.  I had plans to be on it this year, as far as picture taking was concerned.  I was super excited about the gifts we were giving this year and wanted to be sure and take LOTS of pictures.  My camera made it's way to my parents via Justin and Katie because, like my typical air-brained self, I left it somewhere!  Once the critical piece of equipment made it into my hands, I could breath easy. Ahhhh.  I flipped the thing on and...NOTHING.  The battery was completely dead!!!!  Are you kidding me???  It is the Lipscomb family Christmas gathering and I have NO juice left in my camera battery.  And of course the charger was at our house in Nashville.  Let's just say I was a little upset...

My mom attempted to save the day with her trusty point and shoot.  Great.  I can handle a nice point and shot over nothing!  Unfortunately I was so frazzled over my dead battery, that I never bothered to check her settings.  Yea.  They were off BIG time.  And I just snapped the night away with nothing but blurry and 70's tinted pictures.  Can you see why I was in no hurry to share these pictures????  Sigh.  So...forgive the strangely colored and out of focus picture below.  This was the best I could do with them in Lightroom even...yikes!

The grub...
Three Bean Casserole, Hash Brown Casserole and Sweet Potato Casserole!!!  Yummy!!!
Crosby sitting in front of the Christmas tree...
Crosby with Uncle Justin and Aunt Katie...

Multiple attempts at a Malone family picture...

The boy just doesn't want to sit still...
Pop opening his present with Crosby's help...

Crosby opening a gift from Aunt Dot...a bath tub car wash!!!

And a construction book WITH sounds!!!  Believe it or not, it is his first book with sounds.  Where have we been??? He loves it...

Typical Justin, checking to see if his Christmas money is real...

Katie believe didn't have to check.  She is a little more mature than her husband.  And I am pretty sure she already had it spent in her head on lovely things for their first home!

Who loses golf shoes?  Blake.  My dad was nice enough to buy him another pair...

YAY!!!!  Justin and Katie finally opened the painting I had Emily Little create for them.  Isn't it lovely??? :)

It may not look like it, but Dad loved his Mississippi State cups!

New clothes for Crosby!!!

Yep.  You are seeing right.  We got my parents TV trays.  I promise they asked for them!!!

Crosby got his very first pair of New Balance shoes from Justin and Katie.  Soooooo cute!!!

My parents gave him this blow up, remote controlled dump truck!  He thought it was pretty awesome...

Nugget thought Uncle James and Aunt Mary sent the pillow pet (aka Simon) to him!  Whoops...

He quickly jumped up from Simon when he saw the dump truck coming his way.  He was not a fan of the dump truck...

He tired to attack it.  Don't you just love blurry pictures...ugggghhhh...

Crosby learning to use the remote while wearing one New Balance and one Ked!

Justin and Katie.  So cute...

Crosby all ready for bed with his Gee Gee and Pop!!!
So the pictures weren't the greatest.  BUT, we had a great time with our family and that is all that matters!  Here's to charging the battery next year! :)
