Birthday Party

On January 2nd, we pulled out this banner for Crosby's big day...

His FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!! We had this hanging on the front door on the 29th as well, in case you wondered! I hope I didn't confuse the neighbors too much... "Is today his birthday?...I thought that was on the door earlier in the week?!?...Maybe it is today!?...But I could have sworn he was born in December?!" They know we are crazy about him so they probably guessed we just celebrate him over and over!! :) And I am sure the balloons on the mailbox and the cars lining the street gave it away! Back to the banner...I made it with the hope that we will use it every year on his birthday. Well, at least until he thinks it is cheesy but that should be a while.

Initially, there was no theme. I figured we would decorate in shades of blue and green and call it a party. Then I found this adorable invitation online. I feel in love and decided to order them. Then Lulu suggested I send the invitation to the cake lady to see if she could coordinate things. Like I said, I didn't have a theme originally but I went along with the idea. Then I decided to add a few more colors to the decor (if balloons, plates and napkins can be considered decor..). I could not have been more thrilled with the outcome...

Oh my goodness, the cake was to die for!!! It was absolutely the cutest thing I have ever seen. And if it weren't "tacky" to talk prices, I got it for a STEAL of a deal, although it looks like it cost a fortune...
And she even threw in a smash cake!!! Seriously, to die for...
And here is the invitation that inspired it all...
But this is the cutie pie we celebrated!!!!! Crosby Fox in his birthday hat...
Crosby with his proud mama...
So loved...
A truck book!!!!! LOVES it... Helping him open gifts...
Still looking at the truck book...
Fond of the new ball popping machine, as was John Christopher!
Precious new outfit...
Playing with a car, which he still calls a truck...
The Little People Bus...or truck...whatever works for Crosby...
Puzzles...
Singing "Happy Birthday" and showing him his big cake...
Testing out the smash cake of his very own...
Messy face...
Yummy...
Crazy Uncle Justin...
Doesn't like getting his hands dirty so he decided to play with a fork instead...just for a few seconds!!!
So fun...
I wanted to have a picture of Crosby with all of the friends that came to celebrate his birthday. Here he is with the Matt, Shelley, Evan and Kate...
And 1/5 of the Morgan family!!! Crosby and Sonja...
Anne Claire, Jeremy and Charlotte...
Before Charlotte passed out from all the excitement!!!
Crosby with his best friends: Margaret (Mrs. Melissa) and John Christopher (Mrs. Joanna)...
Wade, Melissa and Margaret...
Grammie and Pop...
The Woottens...
Uncle Justin and Aunt Katie...
Lulu had to come alone because Perd was not feeling so well...
And finally, one with his Mom and Dad!!!
We could not have asked for a more perfect day! Everything fell into place without a hitch. Crosby was a trooper despite only taking one, short nap. What a blessing it was to celebrate our little man with family and friends...
