Crosby's birthday started like this...
He may have been a little on the snotty side first thing in the morning but give him a break!! He looks better than most folks when they wake up!
I always sing, "Good morning to you, good morning to you, good morning sweet Crosby, good morning to you" 2 times through as I turn off his fan, monitor and sound machine. On the 29th, I changed the second round back to the original words..."Happy Birthday to you..." I don't think he really noticed the difference! We settled into the normal "dad is off work on Tuesday routine" and had breakfast together. Crosby played with all of his new toys for a little while before taking his first nap. Once he was up, we headed to Chuy's to meet some friends for lunch...
Another mirror shot on the way to lunch sporting his new birthday hat from Lulu and Perd...

Caroline's NICU nurse) and Jason...

It was our first time at
Chuy's. The food was really good but someone wasn't in the greatest mood once we got there. Remember that snotty nose?? Yea, this was one of the days that it got in the way of him wanting to eat. He kept gagging on everything I put in his mouth and wanted to eat nothing! Kept throwing his cup on the floor. You know, one of those trips to a restaurant. But who cares when you are the birthday boy???? We let it slide! ;)
We ran a few errands before heading back to
Bellevue. Our plan was to have Crosby take a nap in the car before meeting the the vet clinic to celebrate birthdays. Let's just say we got all of our shopping done but the birthday boy was wide awake. That is until we were 10 minutes
from the clinic. Then he decided to fall asleep. Hence the sleepy face when we arrived...
But these woke him up...
There were three of us expecting babies around the same time.
Colten was born 8 days before Crosby and Emma was born the day he came home! We decided to have a little party to get them all together to celebrate! This was the second time all 3 of them had been together since they were born...
Me and my Birthday boy...

Colten's mom brought cupcakes for everyone. We let Crosby dig in! He was a little hesitant at first. I don't think he likes getting his hands dirty. Sounds like he is his dad's son...
"
Hmmm, I think that tastes pretty good?!?"
"Yea, I think it does!!!"
Okay, this is REALLY good!!!"
Sugar rush!!!
One happy boy about to shove a fist full of cake in that mouth!
He ended up getting them pretty filthy!
Quite the mess but not too bad!!
It was fun to celebrate with the staff at the clinic. Needless to say, these little ones are very loved by everyone who works there. We pop in from time to time and managed to get LOTS of smiles when we do! Can I just say that Blake took most of the pictures above, and below for that matter! He even changed up the angle!! I am so impressed...
We came home to find
Grammie and Pops had arrived. Of course, they couldn't stay away on his birthday. They came bearing gifts which were the first he opened that day. He had actually opened some the night before at Lulu and
Perd's house! He gets no love...
Hooray!!!
I had to include a picture of the back of his shirt. Lulu whipped this up one day! Could it be any cuter???
So proud to be one!!
Showing off his new jersey...
With is very own name on the back!
Thrilled Blake to no end...
Back in his birthday from Lulu and
Perd...
What and adorable one year old we have...
We can't believe how quickly this year has passed. If we could bottle those days up and relive them over and over again, I would do it in a heartbeat. Even the nights he was up every few hours. What I would give to hold that tiny little baby one more time... Since that is not possible, I will
gladly hold this slightly larger little boy with no complaint!! Happy Birthday, Crosby Fox. Oh how you are loved...

Very, very loved!!!
Can you get me in good with that seamstress of yours?!?! That bday shirt is adorable! I love how you say she just "whipped it up"! Undeniable, raw talent! It works so well that the child is unbelievably cute, too!
