Columbia Shower

On March 1st, Lucy's friends hosted a shower for me and Crosby at the home of Mrs. Cherry. The date was set a few months after he was born in order to give his immune system time to develop. It was great to finally be able to see Crosby in the arms of so many people that love him!! What we did not know was that there would be 6+ inches of snow in Columbia on that date! We had a few inches in Nashville but most of it melted by the time we got ready to head south. I just HAD to get a picture of Crosby in his "first snow." He didn't seem to notice... :)

Mrs. Cherry had her front door beautifully decorated for the occasion...

The centerpeice and cake were absolutely gorgeous. Not only was the cake beautiful, it was delicious as well!!

The hostesses: Mrs. Norman, Mrs. Jenkins and Mrs. Cherry...

The star of the show was a little out of sorts that day! I am not sure if it was the snow or what, but this is about the best picture we got! Can you tell we pulled the bottle out of his mouth just to get this one!!! :) This was right during the middle of "The Great Supply Crisis" so my guess is he was just hungry. But once he was fed, he was out like a light!

Saying hello to dear friends...

Lucy (Lulu) and Anne Claire...

Juli, Kerri and Jill...

Julie was so sweet to come to 2 showers!!! Since Crosby was under "quarintine" at the first one, she was excited to get her hands on the sweet boy that day!!

Despite the snow, it was a beautiful, sunny day. The weather could not keep people from stopping by to meet Crosby and shower him with love! I am so grateful for each and every person that came. Even those who couldn't make it were so sweet to send him gifts. Once again, we were completely amazed and overwhemlemed by the love shown to our family. We are truly blessed.
