Mondays with Crosby and Jane Claire

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 4 years and 16 weeks old!!!  At 1:03 pm, Jane Claire turned 1 year and 4 weeks old!!! Has it seriously been a month since she turned one?  How is that even possible.  Just hitting one was a hard enough pill to swallow. Now this?!?  Sigh.  Some things never change.

We wrapped up our visit to Chattanooga on Tuesday.  My sweet boy was in tears that morning when I told him we were going to check out of the hotel.  "But Mommy, I just love staying in hotels."  Pitiful and hilarious all at the same time!  We may be the parents of the biggest hotel fan ever.  He has been asking when we can stay at the Hampton Inn right down the street.  I mean I guess we could for his birthday or something?!?  Wonder if you can invite friends to spend the night at a hotel and call it a party?!?

Back to Tuesday.  After breakfast and checkout, we headed to the Children's Museum. Crosby started in a ship and pretended to be a captain...
He did a lot of climbing...
Sweet thing made it to the first level and was content to sit!
He did some sliding...
Pretty sure those are Daddy's feet coming down behind him!  :-)  Wonder who is with him...
Ahhh yes!  Jane Claire needed to experience the tube slide.  Of course Blake barely fit but he wasn't scared...
Despite her lack of expression, Jane Claire liked it!
We built an arch...
Jane Claire found this dog in the little ones area.  She probably pushed his nose 100 times and smiled each time she did!  Crosby is into hotels.  She is still into dogs... :-)
She also liked digging for dinosaur bones with Crosby and looked pretty cute doing it!
We all had to take turns pulling each other on this rooftop swing.  Crosby loved testing it out on his sister.  The straps may have been a wee large for her...
Once again, don't be fooled by her face.  She really did like the swing!!!
We spent several hours in the museum, exploring every nook and cranny.  Both kids really enjoyed it.  Jane Claire even managed to get in a little nap while we were there. Perfect!  From there, we drove over to a hotdog place near Coolidge Park (as opposed to walking the pedestrian bridge like we had the day before...so fun).  We spent a little time riding the carousel again...
So hard to get an iPhone picture when you are spinning in circles...
This was as good as it got!
At least this one wasn't fuzzy!
Again, her lack of expression does not mean she didn't like it!!  I guess it just mellowed her out to be spinning in circles?!?  You've gotta work for a smile with this one!!  She got to take a turn sitting on the lion's back just like her big brother did.  Still no smile...
Blake and Crosby spent a little time kicking the soccer ball around...
Crosby decided to take a little break in the grass.  He looked pretty cute doing it too!
Then we headed to Clumpies for a little post soccer, pre drive snack.  We got a little more reaction out of sweet pea there...
She stuck her fingers in the white fluffy stuff on top and wasn't sure what had just happened...
"Did you see that, Dad?"
Yummy!!!
She wouldn't stop!!!
And managed to make a pretty cute mess...
I mean, look at that sweet face...
And this one...
Oh.  And this one!!
Okay last one.  I promise...
But then I also made a collage, planning to delete the ones above.  But I just couldn't do it.  They are all too cute to delete.  So we see them again...
Along with a few of my sweet boy!  From there, we loaded up the car and began our trek Northwest.  Well, that was the plan until I knock over my entire, near full chocolate shake, into the console of the car.  It was large.  It was everywhere.  It seeped into cracks leading to who knows where.  Prefect.  Dried milk.  In cracks of the car.  A car that will reach 100+ degrees inside this summer.  Awesome.  I was just about as sad over that thought as I was over losing my entire milkshake.  Luckily my sweet husband went back in and got me another one.  He did not want to see me attempt to lick the console clean.  What can I say, it was an expensive shake.  And delicious...

Once we got on the road, it didn't take long for this to happen...
We made a pit stop on Signal Mt. to see Blake's Uncle John.  Of course I could kick myself for failing to pull out the camera.  That is what happened though.  Even he regretted not getting a picture of the kids.  So I attempted to get one later this week...
That is a hard thing to do these days!!  2 moving targets going in opposite directions!  At least the one up top wasn't too bad!

Blake had the car unpacked and all clean items put away the night we got home.  I spent the rest of the week doing several...several...loads of laundry.  That and trying to get back into the swing of things.  And the weather.  I am pretty sure it was super sunny and lovely while we were in Chattanooga.  Why is Crosby once again sporting long sleeves and cords?!???

On Thursday afternoon, Crosby had soccer practice.  It was my day to carpool which meant we had Addy in the car on the way home.  She heard us talking about soccer practice and she really wanted to see what it was all about.  Crosby and I thought it would be fun to have her join us!  We got permission from her momma and then headed towards the fields.  We even had a bonus!  Mason was there practicing with her team!!!
Crosby, Addy and Mason had a grand ole time at soccer practice!
Fun times for these kiddos!
