Mondays with Crosby

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 22 weeks old!!! And what an exciting week this has been. We decided to go middle of the road on starting rice cereal. On Saturday, at 5 months and 1 day, we buckled him into his high chair, strapped on a bib, mixed a bowl of rice cereal and fed this baby! Oh my goodness, what a sight to see. He LOVED his first meal from a spoon!! He ate like a champ. I followed the directions on the box and prepared very thin cereal. He had a hard time managing it and Blake could barely keep it on the spoon. So, after a few bites, I thickened it up a bit and he did much better. As you will soon see, Blake could not get the food in his mouth fast enough. We had so much fun watching Crosby eat! Now we just have to figure out what time is best to feed him...how much to feed him...does it replace a bottle??

Open wide!!!

Messy baby...

Shoveling it in...

Looks like he is in rice cereal heaven...

So proud of himself at the end of the meal!!! He was one happy boy...

And a little footage to accompany the pictures...

Crosby was so happy when we got home from church on Sunday. Of course, I saw that as an opportunity for a photo shoot. Here are a few of my favorites of the cutie patootie...

Our small group met at a local dog park on Sunday afternoon. I had to take a few pictures while we were there.
Mr. Serious is back...

Surrounded by the ladies...
Mesmerized by all the dogs...
Getting loved on by LeAnne...

Sneezing with the help of Uncle Justin...

I love the book, Super Baby Food. It is a great reference for all your baby feeding questions and gives a schedule for when to serve meals. It gives great tips on how to make your own baby food as well. My favorite part is it tells you what food to introduce at each month old your baby is. Hope this is helpful!

Oh goodness! I think that video is the cutest thing I've ever seen! I love his whimpering between bites but the best is when he tried to eat his bib! I love him! So darn cute! By the way, my phone is working again. Apparently putting it the oven at about 100 degrees for 30 minutes does the trick, fyi.
