Mondays With Crosby

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 12 weeks old!!! This has been an exciting week in this little man's life. He was able to take his first bath without the infant hammock. He LOVED being immersed in the water. He just sat there, so relaxed. He kicked his hands and feet around, splashing water all over the place. There is nothing sweeter than the smell of a clean baby!

Second major accomplishment was the first nap WITHOUT being swaddled!! He slept in a sleep sack for 2 1/2 hours. I was so proud of him. It is not a consistent thing at this point, but we are trying it during some daytime naps. I would love to have him unswaddled soon!!

We watched a video called, "Night, Night" by Dr. Hull. It is supposed to help get babies into a good sleeping routine. I talked Blake into watching it with me one night and he had me start it the next day. All was going well until this happened...

That's right! Crosby has officially been on his first vacation. We boarded a plane on Saturday and headed to Orlando with the Malones. He was PERFECT for the flight down, which I was so nervous about. He drank a bottle as the plane took off, and slept the rest of the flight. I held him...

While Blake took care of little Lucy!!! She fell asleep on his arm and he couldn't move! She didn't make a sound the whole flight either.

Coming down the escalator in Orlando...
About to get in the car...

Crosby and his new friend in Downtown Disney...

Having dinner at Bahama Breeze...

And sorry if this is too graphic, but this picture cracks me up...no pun intended.; ) He was being bathed by Blake and Grandbuddy/Perd. He was as happy as could be!!!

So, technically speaking, this was the first Monday I have been WITHOUT Crosby for a large portion of the day. Blake and I spent the day at Animal Kingdom while he stayed with Lulu and Perd. We decided it might be asking too much of him to spend all day in a stroller or Baby Bjorn. Here are a few pictures of our day...

Animals...

The Tree of Life...
3-D glasses...
Bathroom break...uggghhhh ; )
Posing with Jiminy Cricket. I made Blake do this because he called Crosby "Lemony Snicket" when he was jaundiced. I thought the later was a nickname for Jiminy...apparently not!! I still wanted the picture!
Petting zoo...
Riding Primeval Whirl...
Riding Mt. Everest...

My pictures didn't turn out all that great because I only carried my point and shoot. I am so spoiled by my SLR. I just couldn't manage Medela and the Canon. Oh, well, you do what you've gotta do!!

We had a great day for sure. But I was thrilled to get back to the room to see this little face again...

It always makes me smile when I see all of you - and now to see you starting the beginning adventures of family memories and family vacations - well, it is just the beginning of a wonderful journey - and you two will the ones that will never ever take it for granted. God Bless you all. I hope to see you sometime in the near future at some upcoming extended family gathering. Until that time, I will continue to pray for all of you and thank God for your beautiful blessing.
