Mondays with Crosby and Jane Claire

At  11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 3 years and 19 weeks old!!! At 1:03 pm, Jane Claire turned 5 weeks old!!! I have a ONE MONTH daughter!!!  I really can't believe it.  How did that happen?  I have no clue. Sigh.  Just a warning.  I have started taking more pictures now that I am not on bed rest.  I am very indecisive.

It has been another fun week.  On Wednesday, I took Jane Claire to CBS to meet all the sweet women in my core group.  I was able to meet with these dear ladies each Wednesday until I went on bed rest.  Then, I starting using Facetime to join them from my bed!  I wanted to make sure they were able to  meet the sweet baby girl they had been praying for all these months...
What a precious group of women.  Jane Claire is one prayed for baby...
I love CBS.  It has been such a blessing in my life.  Seriously, if you have a class that meets in your area, you NEED to sign up for next fall.  They have an AMAZING children's program.  Sweet Crosby comes home singing Bible verses an telling me details of Bible stories.  He even learned to say the Pledge of Allegiance!  I have that on video somewhere... I need to have a cellphone dump day soon!!!  Anyway, the children's program was Wednesday.  He knows every word to every song.  But I had a feeling my presence would prevent him from participating...
Sure enough!  He may have done one or two gestures and mouthed a few words.  The rest of the time his eyes were locked on mine. He had the most precious smile on his face and just kept saying, "Mommy..." and waving.  He just wanted to get to me so bad.  But he stayed in his spot until they show was over.  I am flattered he loves me so! ;-)  Thanks to Melissa for snapping these pictures for me (while holding Jane Claire!!) while I made a video!
Seriously, you NEED to get involved with CBS or a study like it.  Truly life changing!

The CBS ladies got to know Lulu since she took Crosby to CBS each Wednesday in my place.  I told them ALL about Lulu's sewing talent and they were eager to see her handiwork for themselves!  Since Jane Claire look like a doll, I thought I would take her one month perspective pictures in the beautiful gown Lulu made for her to come home in.

Jane Claire and her Bunny...
...and you know Crosby had to join in on the fun!!!  I just noticed their hands are doing the same, exact thing!!!
Jane Claire and her Bunny in her chair...
Big feet, little feet...
Big hand, little hand...
Mug shot...
Can you tell she wasn't thrilled about this???
Bubbas make everything better!
I think "Bubba" needs a more feminine name for this dainty darling, no?  I am not feeling "Bubbita".  Hmmm...

Crosby "holding" Jane Claire!!!  Yikes...
And since I don't have enough pictures of Jane Claire on her 1 month birthday, I thought I needed to do something else!! ;-)  Aunt Katie received these adorable onesie stickers to use with Harper each month.  She graciously saved them for us to use! Matching cousins!!  Soooo, we had to have another photo shoot!  And who can narrow down the best pictures of this beauty?  It is impossible.  This might be my favorite...
Oh my goodness.  Just presh...
Almost caught a smile...
"Hey there, blue eyes!!!"...
Looking at her momma...
Doll...
Face!!!
And, there is Crosby and his chipmunk smile.  It is kind of cute upside down!!  Jane Claire is looking at him like he is crazy.  I have a feeling he will get that look a lot over the course of his life! ;-)
I know this one isn't the best but it cracks me up that they are practically making the same face!  Siblings for sure!
Oh my!  She is just darling...
Big news on the Crosby front!!!  HUGE actually.  On Thursday, we were playing at Margaret's house. She said she needed to use the potty.  Crosby then said he wanted to try What???  He never wants to try!  Needless to say, I went with it.  I took him to sit on the potty with no luck.  (Hindsight, it wasn't long enough)  But, he said he wanted to try again later.  Fast forward to our house.  I asked if he wanted to try the potty again and he was quick to say yes.  So we did it again.  ANNNNNDDD...he did it!!!!  He did it ALL night Thursday night.  Even at a restaurant!  What??  Blake even walked down to Kroger before heading home to buy pull ups.  I didn't even know if I wanted pull ups but I was caught totally off guard.  Anyway, Friday was not as successful because his main teacher was not at school and I hear class as a little chaotic! :-/  But, he hasn't had a single accident since Friday.  Including naps and church!!!  We are just a TAD proud of our BIG boy!!  Oh and let me tell you.  Crosby is super proud of himself!  And to think I was dreading potty training while balancing a newborn!  Ha!  Piece of cake!  Mainly because, so far, I am doing no training whatsoever.  Crosby is doing it all on his own!  What a treat.  We have truly been spoiled with a GREAT kiddo!  Now, the Bubba.  Something tells me that one won't be so easy.  Keeping my fingers crossed that he has something up his sleeve on that front as well...

On Sunday, we headed to Otter Creek for Mr. Lucas' 3rd birthday party.  Except I didn't fully read the invitation and headed to the current church building.  Yet, the invitation clearly states it was being held at the OLD Otter Creek Playground!  Fortunately I can claim new baby brain and no one held it against me when we showed up 30 minutes late!  Crosby didn't seem to notice and had a grand ole time with his best pals...
Birthday Boy Lucas, Leighton, Dean (wearing the red shirt in the very back ;-) and Crosby
Lucas and "Crobsy" giving friend hugs...
I hope Lucas calls him "Crobsy" forever!
These three stood up here screaming at the top of their lungs!  So silly...
Crosby and Charlotte playing in the sandbox...
 Sweet Cousins...
Dean and Crosby.  A little dirty and a little wet from the shower that popped up...
Lucas and Crosby just a swangin...
Sweet Momma picture!  Kara, Jenny and Milly, Courtney and Me.
We had a great afternoon celebrating special boy with lots of special friends!  I can't believe almost all of our playgroup buddies are 3 (with some getting really close to being 4) and they all have siblings now.  Our group keeps growing and growing!  So much fun!

Jane Claire's 5 week pictures...

Uh oh!! We have a problem here...
 Now, that is better!

Okay.  So this post is getting a little long.  I will end with a video I took this morning of my wee one smiling and trying to find her voice... (for some reason the sound cuts off.  I will work on correcting that.)
Oh how I am in LOVE with this baby and her BIG brother!!!
