Mondays with Crosby

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 2 years and 15 weeks old!!!  Once again, I am behind.  I wanted to post pictures of Mule Day.  Didn't do it.  So now I have another round of pictures to ad to my to do list.  Will they ever make it to the blog???  Sigh.

This weeks fun began on Tuesday night.  "Uncle Chad" had 4 tickets to the Predators game and he invited our family to join him.  Blake was super excited for the chance to take Crosby to his first game.  Sure, he was glad I could go with them, too.  But that was mainly because I would be the one to leave early when Crosby started to melt!  Lucky for him, I didn't mind!

Way back on Tuesday, the weather was cold.  We reverted back to long sleeves and coats for the occasion.  Not to mention the area feels more like a refrigerator during the games.  I know, they have to keep the ice cold...  Anyway, the pictures in this post seem like they are from 2 different seasons.  I promise they are all from the past week!

I had to take a picture of the boys in front of the inflatable hockey player.  Crosby was pretty impressed before we even made it inside...
When we got to our seat, the players were just coming out on the ice.  The lights were off.  The music was playing super loud.  Smoke filled the rink as the skaters raced onto the ice.  The fans were screaming with excitement.  And Crosby stared in awe...
"Where in the world are we and what is going on down there???"
Once the game got started, he was able to watch for about 5 minutes.  I kept trying to show him the puck to see if he could follow it.  Not so much...

He was more interested in playing in his seat, which may or may not have folded up on him a time or two!
Crosby made it a period and a half.  We had to pull out all of the stops to keep him entertained that long.  M&M's.  Funnel Cake.  Blue Powerade.  Sitting the the lap of the lady behind us.  Eating the little boy's popcorn who was sitting next to her!!!  And then Bubba made his appearance.  I really hate to pull Bubba out in public at his age.   So give me the "Bad Mom of the Year" award.  The boy loves his Bubba and I can't take it away yet.  Hecklers will have to just deal with it... : )
As if we didn't eat enough junk AT the game, we got to stop for a free Wendy's frosty on the way home because they score 4 points while we were there!  I can't pass up anything that is free.  At least that is the excuse I am going with anyway!  What a great way to end a great night!

Thankfully things warmed up as the week progressed.  By Saturday, Crosby was wearing shortalls and sandals!  He looked so cute with his fresh haircut and fish suit.  I just had to snap a few pictures of him playing outside...
He spent the evening sliding...
Climbing...
Swinging...
Watching... (Blake mow, that is!)

Pushing...  (And let me just say the Cub Cadet is no easy push!  Somehow he had this thing rolling all over the place!?!?)
??
Falling!!!  (one day's worth of skinned knees! Is this because he is a boy???)
And having his hair blown by Blake's blower!  A favorite...
And of course he is alway looking devilishly cute!!!  Filthy face and all...
We had dinner at the Spencer's Sunday night.  Crosby was finally able to realize that Jason is a police officer.  Crosby got to wear his hat (with a little, or a lot, of encouragement)...
But the COOLEST part was Crosby getting INTO Jason's car and turning the siren on over and over and over.  I am sure their neighbors loved every minute of our time in the police car!
Jason even let Crosby wear his police vest!!!
Our little Metro Police officer!
Needless to say, Jason moved up to a pretty high spot on Crosby's list of cool friends!  He and Chad scored major points in Crosby's book this week!!!

And that leads us to this Monday. John Christopher came by for a visit this morning so we got out of our PJs and put on clothes!  Somebody looked so cute in his blue and green that I had to take a few more pictures.  I am thinking this will be a favorite outfit too!!!
Who am I kidding?  This face in any outfit is going to be a favorite!!!
What a mess this boy is!!! :)

Too cute! Love the new look! And no, Miss Margaret always has bumps and bruises, so I don't think it is just a boy thing---maybe a two year thing???
