Mondays with Crosby and Jane Claire

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 3 years and 27 weeks old!!!  At 1:03 pm, Jane Claire turned 14 weeks old!!!  We had a fun week celebrating our nations birthday.  And we managed to get a pretty decent family photo in the meantime!  Who woulda thought?!?  I like the boys best in the picture above.  Note Crosby flashing some sign with his hand.  I like the girls best in the picture below.  Note Jane Claire flashing some sign with her hand...
She looks to tiny to be holding her head up as good as she does.  She must be a social butterfly because she doesn't want to miss a thing!  She needs to look around and see what is going on.  Thankfully, she has lots of entertainment.  These three (Lucas, Charlotte and Crosby) put on a good show at Lipscomb's Summer Celebration...
Crosby and Charlotte stood on the clock tower steps, singing and dancing for the world to hear.  It was pretty cute.  If I hadn't been trying to inhale my dinner, I would have taken a video of it.  The above is the best picture I got.  The one below is the best picture Kara got.  Too cute either way...
Can you believe he sat and posed for me?!?!
Watching the fireworks...
We were super close to the fireworks so I had Little Miss' ears covered nice and tight!  She acted like it was no big deal. I guess she is used to loud noises with Crosby around...
Kara snapped this picture of the matching buddies as we were headed to the car.  Lucas wanted to share his glow bracelets with "Crobsy"!  Such sweet little friends...
On the actual 4th, I got up early with the kiddos.  I was doing something at the sink when Crosby said, "Mommy, look what is on Sister's face..."
Poor thing.  I am sure this will be mild compared to what he will do to her in years to come!  He just wanted to share his truck with her.  Loves her to pieces.  Today, we were driving around town and he said, "Mommy, I am so glad Sister came out of your belly."  Me too, Sweet Boy.  Me too...

Later that morning we loaded up and headed South to spend the 4th with the Malones.  Crosby is all about swimming these days.  Without his Puddle Jumper of course.  I made him pause for a 4th of July swim shorts picture first.  Bribery...

And a managed to catch a sweet belly laugh picture...
We swam while the guys played golf.  The Autrys joined in on the family fun.  LeAnne was able to get  some video of the little fish in action...
I got a little more when the guys showed up...

Crosby swam and swam and swam.  The child wore himself out!  He was asleep before we got to Saturn Parkway!  We can usually keep him awake with a video but even that didn't work.  Exhaustion...
Sweet Pea was up when we got home and helped celebrate the 4th with us...
Can you tell she was less than thrilled to be wearing the glasses?? ;-)
On Friday, we went for a swim with Melissa and Margaret.  It was a lovely time.  Jane Claire slept in her car seat (in the air conditioned pool house) the whole time we swam.  She woke up right before we left.  The kiddos wanted to hold her...
Oh how I love these sweet friends...
Blake had to work Saturday so we had a lazy morning.  I finally got motivated to make it to the bank before they closed at noon.  I laid out Crosby's clothes and asked him to put them on...
I guess I should specify the importance of putting them on the right way next time.  He literally had everything on wrong.  Shirt, shorts and undies were backwards.  Shoes were on the wrong feet!!  At least he tried...
Too funny!  Later that night, we decided to take Crosby to see a movie, Madagascar!  That meant Jane Claire got to see her first movie.  I failed to bring the good camera and had to use the phone to document the occasion...
The chipmunk came too!! ;-)
I attempted Sonja's chocolate chip cookie recipe yesterday afternoon...again!  I have tried to make them multiple times and they never turn out as good as hers.  And she "claims" it is just the butter Crisco recipe.  There is no "secret"!?!  Hmmm.  This batch turned out a little better than those in the past. Still not the same as hers.  Crosby didn't notice...
And here my sweet darling in her weekly pictures.

Jane Claire at 14 weeks...

 My sweet babes...
