Mondays with Crosby

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 1 year and 18 weeks old!!! This week, we have the edited version of Crosby! I have never been a big fan of photo editing on a general basis. I mean, sure, photographers should do it because you pay them for great pictures. But to edit everyday pictures of your kiddo?? I am just not sure how I feel about it. At least I wasn't sure until I got to play with Lightroom. Let me just say Lightroom is pretty addictive. Now that I have tinkered with a few pictures from this week, I REALLY want Lightroom for myself. When is my birthday? Oh yea, that was in March. So I guess I could shoot for my anniversary. Surely the 10 years of wedded matrimony warrants a gift of that caliber!?!?!? One can wish!

I got to play with Lightroom tonight because we are visiting my sweet, sweet friend, Jessica, in South Carolina. She and her hubby, Wes, just welcomed this little one into their family and we had to get our hands on her...
Meet Eva Wren. Is she a beauty or what? I have so enjoyed snuggling with this little one for the past few days. Kinda makes me miss the newborn stage. If you recall, Jessica took all of the pictures of Crosby the day he came home from the hospital. What a special friend to fly to Nashville, even though Crosby was in the NICU, and stay up until the LAST second so she could take pictures for me. It was the least we could do to drive down for a visit!!!

I wonder if she feels the same. I doubt it seeing how Crosby likes to take Eva's belongings...
Yep, that is him. Looking like an angel with a PINK bubba in his mouth!!!
Waiting for everyone to get ready for the day...
He knew we were going to Monkey Joe's. You know, a bouncy play place. Only he was more interested in these half of the time...
The tractor...
The school bus. I think he would have been freaked out had he realized Bozo was behind him. We didn't mention it...
And then there was a race car...
Pretending he just won the Daytona 500...
Proud moment in his world...
He didn't have so much fun sharing the green balloon with this little boy. To give Crosby credit, the bigger kid was not being very nice. His mom was just sitting in a chair, not paying him a bit of attention, so I had to to intervene a time or two. Don't mess with my boy, you got it?? ;)
We had a good 'ole time on the slides...

He learned how to make a "pig face" on the way home. I have that on video and will have to share it later this week...
Oink, Oink...
Who knew he could spend 20 minutes playing peekaboo with a door...
Jessica and Wes are precious friends and we are so happy to finally meet Miss Eva!!

We have plans to pack up the car and head back home tomorrow. Not only is it a 7+ hour drive, we have no idea if we will be able to reach our house. We live in an area that was severely damaged by the flood over the weekend. We are so fortunate that our house sits high up on a hill and appears to have no damage. Our neighbors just had to bust out a window to rescue Nugget since the power was out and the garage door wasn't working. We will be leaving a key next time! I ask that you pray for our city. Lives have been lost. Homes have been completely destroyed. Cleanup is going to take quite a while.

Since I always say how precious Crosby is, and he sure is a looker, I'll give Miss Eva some props today! What a little sweetie!

So glad your house and Nugget are okay!!! We watched all the coverage and I wondered how you all were...such sadness for so many others.

Have a great week!

Adorable pictures this week--I especially love the pics of you and Crosby together--definitely frame worthy! And that Eva is precious! Have a safe ride home. Let me know if you need a place to stay when you get back.
