Mondays with Crosby

At 11:24 am Crosby Fox turned 31 weeks old!!! I will admit, this growing up business is starting to get to me. I put the little guy in his bed for a nap on Thursday. After a few minutes of protest, I returned to his bedside and decided to pick him up. I needed to rock him. Not the usual routine. As I sat, holding Crosby in my arms, I felt a stinging sensation in my eyes. A lump formed in my throat. Tears were soon to follow. I looked down at my sleeping baby and hit me hard. He is getting so big, so fast. I won't be able to hold him forever. These moments are precious and I need to cherish each second I have with this child. Like I have said before, I knew I would love him. But I didn't know this much existed. It is an overwhelming, all encompassing, suffocating kind of love that you just can't really explain. It is the greatest feeling I have ever known. I am so thankful for the past 31 weeks...

I think I should stop while I am ahead...

We took a little trip to Columbia to hang out with my besties from high school!! Sonja, and her 3 boys, invited me and Crosby, and Katherine and Mary Claire for a swim (Hampton was left to spend a little quality time with his daddy :)). The sun didn't come out until afternoon so we just hung out inside most of the day. Good times!

Here is a picture of 5 our 6 kiddos. Mary Claire, Grant, Rhett, Crosby and Cade...

Then we went to visit my parents. Crosby DOES NOT have my dad wrapped around his little finger. My big, strong dad IS NOT a softy...

We have a new favorite toy. He loves this thing. I am thinking it already needs WD 40 because the spring is really loud. Whatever...he is as happy as can be when bouncing in his Johnny Jump Up. I am a little concerned because he shifts his weight to his right leg and lets it do all the work. It looks like he has a lame left leg. I have tried to explain that he needs to tone BOTH of his quads but he is not listening...

Silly faces...

Sitting with his dad...
Yesterday, we took a little stroll through Edwin Warner Park. BOTH of our boys loved it!!!

He started out wide awake, chewing on his strap...

He fell asleep as we were heading back to the car...

So we sat and waited, not wanting to wake him up!!!

I took a few pictures of Nugget...

Drinking out of a cup...

While Crosby napped...

It didn't last long!!!

What a great Sunday evening we had!!!
