Mondays with Crosby and Jane Claire

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 3 years and 36 weeks old!!!  At 1:03 pm, Jane Claire turned 23 weeks old!!!  Can you guess where our babes are in the picture above???  If you guessed "On a Southwest airplane"...you are right!  (Crosby loves to identify the SWA planes) We are actually at the beach as I type.  And oh how lovely it is to be at the beach!  But I am getting ahead of myself.  First things first...

On Tuesday, we celebrated Sweet Charlotte's 3rd birthday at Monkey Joe's!!!  So much fun!  Crosby is still a HUGE fan of that place and would go there weekly if he could.  Bouncy houses never get old!  Of course, Anne Claire had a table looking so cute for Charlotte...
Just ignore the blue wall in the background!! ;-)  All the pink and cream is to die for, no?!?  I mean, would you look at this gorgeous cake...
And the marshmallow pops...
There were cake pops too!  And then take a look at these party favors...
Oh my goodness!  That Lulu is too much.  There were tasty sugar cookies in these precious little homemade bags.  Just adorable!  So what about the birthday girl??  She was all over the place.  Here she is jumping with friends.  Can you tell she was having a blast?
The sweet Graves crew...
My wild monkey...
Attempting to look not so wild...
We see right through that face!  There is a definite silly boy about to come out.  I am not even sure how we got a still picture of the child!  And would you look a this sweet thing...
Malone decided he would take the special seat since no one else seemed interested in it! ;-)  He was more interested in his GranBuddy. This picture looks pretty sweet...

What you can't tell is the way Malone crawled over to GranBuddy in protest for holding Jane Claire!  He looooooves his GranBuddy and did not want to share!  Too cute!  And I had to share the only picture of the girls.  With the babes.  One covered up! ;-)
And a few of the boys...
Courtney and Brooke...

How sweet of Courtney to come celebrate when it was her birthday, too! I guess one is never to old for a little Monkey Joe's! ;-)

Melissa and Margaret...
Charlotte blowing out 3 little candles...
Monkey Jane came for a visit!  Much to our surprise, Charlotte went to say hello!  I wonder if it had something to do with the gift MJ had in her hand?!? ;-)
She stayed outside of the room so a few of the kids wouldn't get scared.  That didn't keep her fans from coming out to see her...
Lots of hugs from Crosby...
And Margaret...
And would you look at this sweet Jane...
She's no monkey.  Just the cutest little doll baby I ever did see!!  Maybe one day in the WAAAAY distant future she can have a Monkey Joe's party. That won't be for ages though...

We headed back to the Cyr's to watch Charlotte open presents...
And of course Crosby talked Jeremy into a little guitar playin'...

Speaking of guitars... The boy is seriously obsessed with all things music.  Any surface or object can be transformed into a musical instrument of some sort.  Even his voice.  We hear some form of music being playing at least 50% of all waking hours.  That is A LOT of music.  Just listen to this...

Seriously.  All the time.  I thought he had a little tic initially.  Then he told me it was symbols.  Oh, yes. Of course!  What was I thinking?!?  Phil Collins and Chicago are his favorites right now.  But he still listens to the Avett Brothers, U2, Foo Fighters, Pixies, Guster and some of his favorite kid stuff.  It doesn't matter really as long as it is a CD that he gets to pick!  It will be interesting to see what this child decides to be when he grows up!  We should start taking bets now...

We had a great time celebrating Charlotte with the Cyr's.  What a fun way to start the week off.  Wednesday was our first day back at CBS.  Oh how I love being back in CBS.  We are studying Mark this year and I know it will be a blessing!

On Thursdays, Jenny and I are carpooling!  So fun!  I take Crosby and Addy to and fro one Thursday and Jenny does the next.  I am thinking it is going to be a lovely setup for us mommas!  And the kids seem to enjoy it too...
It is so much fun to look back and see these sweet kiddos in tow!  I love having the extra room that allows us to do this.  Fun times for all!

Then Saturday came.  The day we had been talking about for WEEKS!!!  We were finally heading out of the door to get on the Southwest airplane that would take us to the BEACH!!!  It was finally Sea Island time again!!!  We had one happy little boy on our hands...
Here they are, ready to board...
Can you tell he was super excited to get on the plane??
Too cute..
Crosby's 3rd time to fly (1st time he remembers) and Jane Claire's first flight ever!  Unless you count the time she was in my belly!! And in that case this is Crosby's 4th trip! ;-)
Unfortunately, things went downhill from there.  The GPS was broken on our plane and they didn't have to part to fix it!  Kinda want the pilot to know where he is going.  Sooo, we had to get off the plane and wait...
 And wait...
 And wait...
for a new plane to arrive.  4+ hours later (and $300 in vouchers...not to shabby), we boarded a plane again...
And before you know it, we were at the BEACH!!!
GranBuddy and Lulu joined us and the Edenfields (aka The Beach Family...at least that is what Crosby calls them) this year.  GranBuddy picked us up at the airport and we drove straight to Sea Island.  Ahhhhh to feel the water on our feet!  This was the first time Little Bit had her feet in the ocean...

She didn't quite know what to think about it!
Sweet siblings!
The Edenfields had a new member of their family to join us this year as well!  Meet Davis...
Warming up to this whole beach place...
Little darling soaking it all in...
These two are going to have so much fun growing up together...
Babes on the beach!  Funny how he is a month and a half younger than she is!  Such a tiny little girl we have.  Again, it let's me pretend she is newborn much longer...
We spent Monday at the beach club.  We borrowed this little tent for the babe.  She took a few good poolside naps in it for me!
Meanwhile, this one was all over the place...
Playing the drums first, of course!
Then he climbs...
Jane Claire's first time splashing in the pool...
She had a good ole time...
And then she went for a little float...
Of course her big brother had to make sure she was enjoying herself...
How quickly the fun and games came to a screeching hault.  Yep.  Somebody got hurt.  His name is Crosby.  Poor fella was getting out of the baby pool, headed toward our chairs when he stepped on a metal strip wrapped around the base of a palm tree.  His foot slid right out from under him and he automatically grabbed the palm tree in an attempt to brace his fall.  Did you know palm trees are prickly?  I didn't.  Until I saw Crosby's hand full of splinters!!!!  Poor baby lost it.  He would not let us anywhere NEAR his hand.  We could not convince him to let us get the larger ones out with tweezers.   We had to come up with a serious plan to remove several large splinters...

Distraction was the first plan. Renting bikes and riding them home helped in that regard.  He perked up and was able to make a silly face for the camera.  He must have been feeling somewhat better...

We then kept him up the rest of the evening, hoping to wear him out.  We didn't talk about the splinters.  We left his hand alone for the most part and didn't make a big deal about it.  In the meantime, Blake and Buddy came up with plan to get the splinters out.  First things first, they slathered him up with a lidocane cream to numb his hand...
He wore this make shift bandage for at least an hour.  He started to get sleepy so we gave him some ibuprofen and benadryl to further decrease pain and to knock him OUT!  It worked...
Once he was good and asleep, OR #2 was set up and operation splinter removal was underway...
They were able to get all of the big splinters and a few of the smaller ones.  They had to stop a few times because he started to wake up a little.  Believe it or not, he was OUT in the picture above.  What a crazy night! At least he has zero recollection of the removal process.  The nurse anesthetist and the vet did an excellent job! ;-)

At least I snapped a picture of this little one before the drama started. Yep!!! You know I had to take the bunny along with us for our weekly picture!!!  Can't miss that now can we?!?  Here is Jane Claire at 23 weeks...
What a happy week it was...
More beach pictures to come!
