Mondays with Crosby

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 1 year and 29 weeks old!!! This week started with a visit to Dr. P's office. He weighed in at 24.8 pounds. I'm a bit confused because one chart has one percentile, the other is slightly different. That being said, that has him in the 29th or 35th percentile. He is 34 inches tall which puts him in the 88th or 94th percentile. His head is 47.5 cm, which is the 39th or the 46th percentile. Add that all up amd the boy has a BMI of...4%! Good grief. What I would give for that BMI!!! Dr. P says he is a perfect size. He mentioned the fact that most grandparents attempt to "fatten up" lean grandchildren. Ahhheemmm. He said it is not necessary. :)

We went to Parmer Park on Sunday. We saw a few people come in go, but he practically had the place to himself. He loves to run all over the place. Forget the playground when there is a good hill to climb up...
And down...
Over and over.
Or steps to conquer...
With a little help from LeAnne. Which is the only way I got to take pictures!!!
Then it was time for a little break...
He decided the playground wasn't so bad after all. He loves a good slide...
The higher the better in his mind. The boy is fearless...
Can you tell he plays hard???
"Enough with the camera, mom!!!" At least his eye is in great focus! It would have been a good picture...
Looking like the wild man he is...
Watching planes. There had to have been AT LEAST seen 20 planes fly over in the hour and a half we were at the park. Maybe I haven't payed attention in the past, but we have never seen that much air traffic at Parmer! Apparently there were lots of folks flying on Sunday though! Crosby sure appreciated it...
First time drinking out of a water fountain...
Which quickly turned into just playing in the water fountain...
Have I ever mentioned this child is ALL BOY??? Well, he is! I probably hear the word truck at least 100 times per day. Anything that has a motor and wheels is a truck in Crosby's mind. Actually, there doesn't even have to be a motor involved. Just wheels will do. You can only imagine the excitement this little fella feels when his dad cranks up the ole lawn mower. Crosby just stands there in complete awe. He thinks his dad is pretty awesome behind a mower. He just thinks his dad is awesome, period...
"Are you seeing this???"
"So cool."
"Could I possibly ride on top of that mower?" And he can now say "mower"...
Watching the mower roll by...
Deep in thought about the mower...
Doing his sleepy arm rub thing that just melts my heart...
Crosby has started a new trick. Unfortunately, I seem to have misplaced my little camera. I guess that means I will be posting a video later this week. That is if I ever find the camera...

Crosby is so incredibly cute and you're right, he is ALL boy!

I love it when my boys choose wide open spaces to run and play instead of playground equipment. I feel like it fosters being boys, their sense of freedom (in a healthy way) and their imagination. And it sure beats sitting in a swing and NOT burning off any energy!

I'd be worried about you if you had a BMI of 4%! You look great, by the way!

I agree! Did anyone else see those legs! (Danielle's, I mean!) Super model!

Crosby's legs are pretty darn cute, too! But, the arm rub is the best!
