Mondays with Crosby and Jane Claire

At 11:24 am, Crosby Fox turned 3 years and 23 weeks old!!!  At 1:03 pm, Jane Claire turned 10 weeks old!!!  I cannot believe my baby has hit double digits.  How is that possible??  I just gave birth.  We just got home from the hospital.  She is still in newborn sized diapers... or maybe not.  Maybe it has been 2 plus months since I gave birth and she came home.  And maybe she has progressed to size 1 diapers.  Sigh.  I can hardly stand how fast this is going by.  Just as fast as when Cros was a babe.  Maybe even faster.  I have teared up a few times while loving on both of them just thinking about all of this.  What I would give to pause this period of time and just savor it for a while.  Sigh...

On Tuesday, Little Miss had her 2 month appointment with Dr. P.  Of course I wanted to know all of her statistics.  However, I dreaded the slew of vaccines she would receive...

She got 3 injections and one oral vaccine.  We all survived the "hold your breath for 10 seconds before letting out a blood curdling scream" cry that Jane Claire let out after the first stick.  Bless her sweet heart!!  It just kills me to see them cry like that.  I had to prepare Crosby for the occasion because I knew it would break his little heart to see his little love in tears.  Luckily he was little preoccupied with a distraction...

He brought his baby, Jane Claire, for her appointment that day too!
Dr. Patton was so sweet and listened to her heart with his stethoscope.  Of course he did his trademark bird tweet for her.  ( I could swear he sits outside our window some mornings, tweeting, and waking me up...)  He gave her a clean bill of health.  The nurse also gave her vaccines...

Crosby was quite proud of his baby Jane Claire for being so good. Oddly enough, she didn't even cry!
As for the "real" Jane Claire, she is still a tiny little thing, which I kinda like.  I can pretend she is younger than she is and get away with it!  Sweet baby Jane weighed in at 10 pounds 2 ounces and was 22 inches long.  She is in the 35th percentile at this point the the game of life.  It took Crosby a while but he shot up in height percentile by his first birthday.  We will see what Little Miss does!

On Friday we headed down to Columbia for the day.  Of course Baby Girl got to spend a little time getting loved on by the grands...

Jane Claire and Pop...
Jane Claire and Gee Gee...
Then we headed over to the Malone's to celebrate Jeremy's birthday.  The big kids had to get in the pool of course.  GranBuddy blew up the big spider float for them.  They both thought the air compressor was a little loud!! Ha...
Riding the surfboard...
Together!
And a solo ride...
Crosby wanted to help wrap Charlotte up in her towel.  Such sweet cousins...
The littles hung out inside.  These two are quite taken with each other.  So precious...

We spent the night in Columbia because we had a birthday party in Spring Hill the next morning.  "Baby Jack" turned two years old...

Our crew with the birthday boy!
Blake and I went out to dinner on Saturday night to celebrate our TWELVE YEAR anniversary!!  The official day was on the 10th, Sunday, so we got it in a little early.  We at dinner at Eastland Cafe, which was great!  It was nice to have a child free dinner for the first time in months!  Thanks to LeAnne and Chad for taking care of our sweet babes while we dined...
I just had to share the picture I took of Jane Claire on my phone.  She is the sweetest thing when she wakes up in the morning.  I get the most darling little smiles out of her and they just warm my soul...
Jane Claire at 10 weeks...
Such a cutie pie...
We got a smile!
My goodness I could just eat her up!!!
I am such a lucky momma...
