The weather has been amazing the past few days. We have spent a lot of time outdoors lately and it has been wonderful. We took advantage of the warmth and walked back down to the playground at the end of our subdivision. I think the following video will tell you how it went...
The child can laugh! Not only does he crack us up, he cracks himself up! So much fun!!!
I just had to post this one... We got back in from the park and he headed over to his "toy box". He was looking for his favorite books but they are located behind the basket. So he crawled in the cabinet to get them. When he wants something, he gets it. For the most part!
Wonder who he gets that from??? The next picture will NOT answer that question. Let's just say, I went to 2 consignment sales this weekend... Oh my! I kind of went nuts. I am not sure how many items I came out with but I think it was near 40. But everything was such a good deal. Before Thursday, we only had a few things for Crosby to wear this summer. Now we have lots to chose from! I have to admit, I was a little hesitant to go to these sale. I have heard stories of crazy lines, mad dashes to the clothes, people grabbing clothes and stuffing them into laundry baskets then sorting in corners. TJ Maxx overwhelms me so I knew this could send me over the edge. Surprisingly enough, my experiences were nothing like I mentioned above. Thanks to the Otter Creek Consignment Sale and the Monkey Business Sale, Crosby will be one cutie pa tootie this summer!
And a funny... When I walked in to shop early at the Monkey Business Sale, I heard someone call my name. I looked around and met eyes with someone I didn't know. But Ann knew me because of the blog! Pretty amazing to know that because of a mutual friend, Ann said many prayers for our family. What a blessing to spend time with her over the weekend and get to know her! You can bet I will be working with her again when the fall sale comes around!!!
These pictures are just silly. Blake and I couldn't get over how tiny these PJs had gotten. They must have shrunk or something. It can't be that somebody has gotten bigger...Makes you want to sing "fat guy in a little coat"...
We went swimming at the YMCA this morning. (Indoor pool, of course) This was our first time in the water since last summer so wasn't sure how things would go. I felt sure Crosby would have a good time in the water. I pulled out the yellow float we used last year and blew it up for the occasion. At the last minute I realized we only had swim diapers from last year! Fortunately, they were huge last year so I managed to make them work today! Once we got to the locker room, he seemed to know something exciting was in the works. Once we hit the pool, he was in heaven! I put him in the ring and he tolerated it all of a minute. Then he started twisting and turning, trying to pull his legs out of the slots. Mr. "I can walk now and don't need your help, mom" thought he could just walk right into the 2 and 3 foot water. He also felt it was perfectly safe to attempt the slide on his own and this is definitely NOT the case. We were there for 45 minutes are so before I was worn out. I had to wrestle with him the entire time to keep him from drowning. The child was absolutely fearless. Could care less if he was splashed in the face and probably drank a gallon of that water. We will be purchasing a swim vest before we do that again! Any brand/style suggestions appreciated...
He took a 3 hour nap after our playgroup at the pool. Then we headed down to the clinic to pick up Nugget from his bath. Crosby looks happy to see him...

Yes, he definitely looks like a big boy, especially in the one where he is standing by the Nugget's cage. The video is adorable--I'll have to show that one to Margaret when she gets up--I'm sure it will make her giggle!
